Who is 717 AI Works?
Who
I'm Drew Dailey, founder of 717 AI Works. I started using AI during my MBA program in 2023, where I got to explore some of the early versions of today's AI tools. Since then I've used that experience to start two companies and lead AI efforts in my current role as a Demand Planning Analyst at The Hershey Company, where I also serve as the AI Strategist for my team.
I don't claim to have all the answers - AI is evolving fast, and I'm learning alongside everyone else. But, I've successfully used AI to automate routine tasks in my own work and have helped others do the same.
Why
Since moving to Lancaster county a little over a year ago, I have seen local businesses and business owners wrestle with AI. Unsure if they should adopt it, worried about being left behind, and feeling overwhelmed with the hype versus reality.
I felt there was a gap between what was being heard and seen online about AI, and the way businesses have been able to put it to use. That's why I started 717 AI Works, to help local businesses truly understand and apply AI in ways that support them, their team, and their customers.
